Chairman and Managing Director
Chairman and Managing Director Chris is responsible for the overall operation of the firm, as well as the management and development of client portfolios.
Chris’ community efforts have included serving as a United Way Loan Executive, membership in the Kirkwood Chamber of Commerce, Des Peres Rotary Club, along with board positions at the Shelter the Children and Buddy Fund organizations. He currently enjoys participating in the Habitat for Humanity CEO build day.
President and Managing Director:
President and Managing Director John M Johnson assists in the daily operations of the firm, while maintaining a primary focus on working directly with many of the firm’s clients.
Since joining Zemenick & Walker in 1991, John has played a key role in all aspects of the firm. His experience includes operations, equity and fixed income trading, portfolio construction, client relations, and tax and estate planning. One area of John’s expertise is investment management of pension funds for municipalities, police, and fire departments in Illinois.
Executive Vice President and Managing Director
William C. Stude III is executive vice president and managing director of Zemenick & Walker. Bill works with clients to develop comprehensive strategies to achieve their financial objectives, utilizing his knowledge of the markets as well as tax, retirement and estate planning. With a background in fixed income trading and equity manager research, Bill brings hands-on experience to the development and implementation of investment policy and portfolio construction.

Jonathan A. Best is vice president and portfolio manager for Zemenick & Walker, and serves as the chair of the Investment Committee. Jon’s primary responsibilities include research, portfolio management, and due diligence reviews.
Jonathan joined the firm in 2002 after earning a business degree from Truman State University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, and a member of both the CFA Institute and CFA Society of St. Louis.
Krystal Hill is an portfolio manager for Zemenick & Walker. Her primary responsibilities include research, equity and fixed income transactions, and portfolio management.
Krystal joined the firm in 2011 after graduating from Saint Louis University with a degree in Buisness Administration with a concentration in Economics and a minor in Mathematics. At SLU, Krystal was active in a number of organizations, and served on her sorority’s executive committee.
Joe Bonastia is an investment analyst for Zemenick & Walker. His primary responsibilities include equity and fixed income research, trading, and due diligence.
Before joining Zemenick & Walker in 2016, Joe graduated from Xavier University with majors in Finance and Accounting. While at Xavier, Joe participated in a number of organizations including the D’Artagnan Capital Fund where he served as the COO and, along with fellow classmates, assisted in investing a portion of the endowment for the university.
